Hello again from all of us at Mortgages in Lincoln! It’s been another busy and rewarding week here at our High Street office, and as always, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to support clients old and new through every twist and turn of the mortgage journey.
We’ve also got new shop signage up.
Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:
Colin
It’s been a real mix of challenges and wins for Colin this week! He met with three separate clients after their level two surveys revealed all sorts of surprises, from rusty radiators to suspicious electrical appliances. It just goes to show how valuable these surveys can be when buying a property!
Colin also helped a client protect their purchase when a higher offer came in after the original price had already been agreed, a situation that could’ve been incredibly stressful. Thanks to his experience and calm negotiating skills, the original buyer got to keep their dream home.
And speaking of dream homes, one of our proudest moments this week was securing a mortgage offer for a client who had a medium-sized default on their credit record in the last 12 months. With the right advice and lender approach, Colin helped turn what seemed like a ‘no’ into a firm ‘yes’.
Amy
Amy has been working her magic on the admin front – booking in appointments, chatting with clients, and filming some new social media content to share a peek into life at Mortgages in Lincoln. But the real surprise? A call from someone who had their very first mortgage appointment with Colin way back in 2001! Talk about full circle. It’s moments like these that show just how deep our relationships run with clients.
Sarah
The new look in the office hasn’t gone unnoticed! Several clients, both familiar faces and first-timers, have commented on how fresh and inviting everything looks. Alongside managing appointments, Sarah has also seen a real spike in buy-to-let enquiries this week, especially from new clients exploring investment opportunities.
Carrie
Even while feeling a bit under the weather, Carrie has been a superhero in the background, coming to the rescue of team members struggling to open emailed documents in a baffling range of formats. PDFs, HEICs, zipped folders, you name it, she handled it. We don’t know what we’d do without her tech-savvy superpowers!
Whether it’s helping a client overcome a credit blip, negotiating under pressure, or just lending a helpful hand to a colleague, we’re proud of the heart and hustle that goes into everything we do.
